Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using anonymize.today ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

anonymize.today provides PII (Personally Identifiable Information) detection and anonymization services through web, API, and desktop applications. The Service uses Microsoft Presidio for entity recognition and anonymization.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Token System and Billing

4.1 Token Mechanics

The Service operates on a token-based system. Each operation consumes tokens based on text length and complexity. Token costs are calculated as: (character_count / 100) × entity_count.

4.2 Plans

  • Free Plan: 1,000 tokens/month, web access only
  • Basic Plan: $9.99/month, 10,000 tokens/month, API access, batch processing, desktop app

4.3 Token Expiration

Monthly token allocations reset on the first day of each billing cycle. Unused tokens do not roll over to the next month.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. Data Processing

6.1 Your Data

You retain all rights to the text you submit for processing. We do not claim ownership of your data.

6.2 Processing

Text submitted for analysis or anonymization is processed in real-time and is not stored after processing is complete. We do not use your data to train models or for any purpose other than providing the Service.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by anonymize.today and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT PII DETECTION WILL BE 100% ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, anonymize.today SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13.2 Prekių ženklų pranešimai

Microsoft, Microsoft Presidio, Word, Excel ir PowerPoint yra Microsoft Corporation prekių ženklai. PayPal yra PayPal, Inc. prekių ženklas. Stripe yra Stripe, Inc. prekių ženklas. Tauri yra Tauri Programa, esančia The Commons Conservancy. Visi kiti šioje svetainėje paminėti prekių ženklai yra jų atitinkamų savininkų nuosavybė. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Saarbrücken, Germany. For consumers within the European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence may also apply.
